What this core illustrates is that libretro GL works fine on RetroArch Switch. Remember, once this bounty (which has amassed so far an amazing $1K+ in little over a week) is finally completed, most games will be running at fullspeed effortlessly on Switch with this emulator! This is simply a proof of concept for now. NOTE: Everybody is completely aware of the lacking performance of the current Mupen64plus. This is as a result of there being no dynamic recompiler right now, it just uses a cached interpreter core instead. Mupen64plus requires more memory to be allocated than Hbmenu allows for.

MCGUINN: It's a Bob Dylan song called "My Back Pages" because within the concert, I take people through my back pages, and here's the song. That's a wonderful, wonderful thing.ĬONAN: And I understand, though, you start every concert with another of your old tunes, a Bob Dylan tune. I'm really honored that you play "Politician" all the time. And Roger, we play your tune "Politician" every week. He's on tour and serves as curator of the Folk Den Project. Later in the program, science fiction writer Vernor Vinge on some of the implications of a world seen through Google glasses.īut first, we want to hear from folkies in the audience today: How do you overcome the fustiness factor and keep your music relevant? Give us a call, 80. Folk singer Roger McGuinn joins us this hour. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991, and all these years later, he's back where he started - or maybe never left. They get credit as pioneers of folk rock and for plugging the music of folkies like Bob Dylan and Pete Seeger onto the early top 40 charts. The following decades took him through the star machine as one of the founders and leaders of The Byrds, one of the most popular and influential bands of the '60s and '70s. Fifty years ago, Roger McGuinn started out as a folk singer. "There are almost 200 MP3s there for free download, along with the lyrics, the chords, a little story about the song and a picture of some kind. I started the Folk Den out of a need to preserve the traditional side of folk music. "So I thought, 'What's going to happen when Odetta dies?' Well, as you know, she just passed away. All the new folksingers were singer-songwriters, writing wonderful material, but they were writing new folk songs. And almost 17 years ago now, I was listening to a Smithsonian Folkways record, and I said, you know, I'm not hearing these traditional songs even in the folk clubs or on the radio, or anywhere. But I was a folksinger at heart because we always loved folk music. "I've always considered myself a folksinger, even though we strapped on Rickenbacker guitars and played pretty loud. One time we did a song, a country song called "You Ain't Going Nowhere," and I reversed the order I said, 'Pack up your money and pick up your tent.' And about six months later he recorded it, and it came out 'pick up your money and pack up your tent, McGuinn.'" I've gotten his words wrong before, and he got mad at me. "I'm looking at the official lyrics typed in from the official Bob Dylan songbook, and instead of 'romantic flanks of Musketeers,' it was 'romantic facts of Musketeers.' And I'd learned the song off the record, so I got some of the words wrong. "I did for Bob Dylan's 30th anniversary on Columbia Records at Madison Square Garden, and they had Teleprompters at the foot of the stage. You know, it was really solid, solid music." I mean, you could really not get anything between the beats. You know, they wore black leather jackets with the collar up and very cool. " Leon Russell, Hal Blaine, Jerry Cole, Larry Knechtel and Bill Pitman were in the studio at the time. And I was honored, because I'd had about five years of studio experience in New York, so they let me play with them. But the first single was with The Wrecking Crew. "Of course, David Crosby and all the other Byrds went nuts and campaigned, and we got to play on all our records after that. Tambourine Man" and the flip side, "I Knew I Want You." And Terry Melcher, who was Doris Day's son and our producer, decided to use The Wrecking Crew for the single "Mr. "The Wrecking Crew was sort of a secret in Hollywood, where Phil Spector used them for all his recordings and The Beach Boys for quite a few of theirs and the Mamas and Papas. On The Session Musicians Who Called Themselves The Wrecking Crew But when he did folk songs, he really got into them. He did that Sinatra thing that he did and the "Splish, Splash," the teenybopper music. and he was such a talented guy that he could really devote himself to it wholeheartedly when he did it. He seems incongruous, but he had a love of folk music. Once you dismiss everything that pops up when you added the SD card, you use your "Flash Drive Image Creator" you downloaded to clone the SD card. Now slide the SD card out very carefully. Just in the event you turned it on opening the case without noticing. So long slide over and hold till it's powered down. I think it possibly is a moisture detection or just to mark their own sd cards. My card came with a white dot, I assume they all do from the factory. You'll be amazed to see a simple microSD card slot. Now you have done the hardest part which is removing the back! Now you can get to the bottom where you will take it off similar to the top, basically not sliding the card past the port. I'm right handed so I did the right side first without thinking. Repeat this exact process on the other side of the case. This should free one side, one corner completely. Slide the card down like you're swiping an actual magnetic strip reader (like your bank card). Again go from parallel to perpendicular with the card and push it down this time, so the card is against the inside side and front. Pick a side, left or right, and work the card in again right at the top corner on the long side this time. Once you have done this there should be a visible separation at the top. You'll have to repeat at the right side of the top. Once I got under the lip of the back case, I then pried the outer case out while pushing the card to be perpendicular to the Kobo. I did this because of that single clip you can see in the picture below. I pushed at the Kobo first where the back and outer casing meet, parallel to the device, with a card right between the LED and the light button. I used a bus pass, any thin card will do. Make sure your Kobo is FULLY off and not just in sleep mod. These two tools are standalone and require no installation: "Free Partition Software - MiniTool® Partition Wizard Home Edition 7.8" This is all free 3rd party software I have NOTHING to do with. I will amend this guide in future to include the known linux commands, as well as to test them from terminal in Mac (Lion). Into it! I figure the faster and the bigger the better! (well maybe not bigger in this case)įirst things first, might as well collect the software needed for this. Given that I was opening this up, I went all out and put a class 10 32 gig microsd card That being said, the people coming here already want to do this and don't need or even want someone else telling them why they should void their warranty! It's illogical at best given that no one has 64 gigs of ebooks, and if you did it would probably explode the Kobo when all the storage is full. It already has an external slot while giving you access to an internal slot. Is it worth it?: If you're asking yourself this, it probably isn't worth it. I found most of it here within this forum, which is why I'm posting this guide here. I will include all links to where I got this information on the 3rd post in this thread. The pictures aren't from when I actually did it, but have been recreated for this guide but that doesn't change how awesome it is! They will all be in the second post in this thread. I'm going to show you how I upgraded the internal memory to my KoboGlo! Hello! Welcome to my Kobo Glo Memory Upgrade Guide! Métis women became renowned for their skill in beadwork and embroidery, particularly through the flower beadwork motif. They were also bison hunters and plainsmen par excellence. The Métis also helped missionaries bring Christianity to the prairie west and the region’s First Nations. After 1821 and the consolidation of the Canadian fur trade, and until the age of the railway, Métis traders criss-crossed what is now Saskatchewan in vast caravans of Red River carts. In the later 18th and early 19th centuries, the Métis plied their various skills in the fur trade. Métis settlement in what is now Saskatchewan predated the development of an agrarian society by over 100 years. The Métis are one of Saskatchewan’s founding people and have contributed to Saskatchewan’s social, cultural, economic and political fabric.
If you can find either one of them, it's definitely worth checking out both to see which might be a better alt-SUV for you. The Maverick comes standard as a hybrid, is considerably cheaper and although its interior is highly functional and characterful, it's also of a much lower-quality than the near-lux Santa Cruz. The Ford Maverick is similarly a compact crossover pickup and there are certainly similarities because of that, but the two execute that general concept in vastly different ways. Of course, it's only just gained a competitor, and it's even more in demand. Part of that comes down to global supply shortages, but the Santa Cruz is at least good enough to warrant the interest. The Santa Cruz is already for sale, but demand has been very strong, so you may struggle to find one on a dealer lot (or at least one without a hefty dealer markup). This body style definitely has potential. At the same time, its clever available cargo cover that rolls back like a garage door maintains the sort of security and all-weather protection provided by an SUV. That could make it more useful for certain buyers. Its open bed, despite being small for a pickup, is still far longer than an SUV's cargo area and obviously offers infinite height. Really, it's best to view the Santa Cruz as an alternative to compact crossover SUVs rather than midsize pickups. It also makes it less robust for off-roading and towing (even if its ground clearance and 5,000-pound max are better than the average crossover), while its diminutive size can best be seen in its small 4.3-foot bed length. That means it's lighter, more agile and more efficient in terms of both fuel consumption and interior space. Rather than a truck's usual body-on-frame setup, it has a car-like unibody. Not only is it a compact pickup, measuring far smaller than the Toyota Tacomas of the world, it's of a totally different construction. It is equipped with strut suspension for the front wheels and a multi-link independent suspension in the rear. The HTRAC system allows for the rear wheels to receive up to 50 percent of the drive power via a lockable clutched center differential. The Santa Cruz uses a front-wheel-drive configuration as the base model, with an available upgrade to the HTRAC all-wheel-drive system. It also features a similar styling introduced on the fourth-generation Tucson, with its front end dominated by the grille with integrated daytime running lights. Marketed as a "Sport Adventure Vehicle", it is closely related to the fourth-generation Tucson, sharing the same project code (NX4, with additional 'a' to denote American production and 'OB' suffix, meaning 'open bed'), production site, and dashboard design. The production model debuted in April 2021 for the North American market. The Santa Cruz was previewed by a concept pickup truck at the 2015 North American International Auto Show with the same name. Industry analysts expected the Santa Cruz to attract car or crossover buyers instead of people who have owned a larger, traditional pickup truck. The vehicle is based on the Tucson crossover SUV, and uses a unibody chassis design. Released in 2021 for the 2022 model year, the Santa Cruz is the first four-door pickup truck sold by Hyundai in the North American market. In these games, the Rainbow Resort theme is used for Stages 5 and 6 in Orange Ocean and much of Rainbow Resort except for Stage 2 which uses the Tower of Mid-Bosses theme, Stage 3 which uses the Grape Garden theme, and Stage 6 which uses the Green Greens theme. Game appearances Kirby's Adventure / Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land Rainbow Resort's tempo, time signature, and composition are similar to that of the Grape Garden theme. It becomes particularly prominent in Kirby Star Allies, which features three remixes of the theme. It is notable in the fact that it has appeared several times in the Kirby series since its initial composition, though not as much as the themes for Vegetable Valley or Butter Building. Rainbow Resort is a generally low-energy track which plays in a 6/8 time signature.

We can consider this corporation as the unit responsible for designing and producing General products. In 1980, Continental bought this manufacturer and took control of the tire line.Īfter many ups and downs, General Tire is still part of Continental AG, a division of Continental. Previously General Tires was an independent brand, and they managed the tire production independently. The stability of quality has since been maintained at a reasonable level. If you use it properly, the tire will undoubtedly last a long time. The rigid side walls also contribute significantly to the increase in durability. These models offer impressive impact resistance with their sturdy construction and quality wear-resistant compounds. Most General products are highly durable. So, my high-speed travel was no longer hindered. This wide contact patch dramatically improves the tread and the ground grip. Although I can’t take advantage of innovation, I still appreciate the efforts of this brand.Īmong the features available on General tires, I am incredibly impressed with the StabiliTread. There are new features that I have not seen on high-end products. General Tires is one of the pioneers in the application of modern technology. Both of these factors combine harmoniously in many ways to maximize product performance. What interests me most is the balance between the general design and the uniqueness of each. But no matter how it changes, fixed characteristics still characterize the company. Thanks to that, the safety, performance, and driving feel are increasing yearly. Throughout its history, General Tires has repeatedly revised and improved its tire designs. But there are still common advantages that all products possess. I find that each General Tires model has its characteristics. In contrast, vehicle owners whose wheels are unpopular will have to search more challengingly to get the right tire size. It shouldn’t be a big deal if you’re driving a base wheel-size model. Yet, for me, this brand product still has some disadvantages. General’s performance far exceeds the cost you need to spend. These products stand out for their stable quality and affordable prices.ĭespite being inferior to high-end tires, General Tires gives me a great feeling when using. Most General tires are in the mid-range segment. General Tires is a tire brand from the manufacturer of the same name based in Hanover, Germany. This brand knows how to create the most solid reliability, whether it’s all-season, all-terrain, or snow tires.ĭespite being outstanding with various features, does this tire brand have any weaknesses? In the General Tires review, I will help you discover the pros and cons of this brand and suggest its popular tires. General Tires is a brand known for its durable, multi-terrain stability and uniform quality tires. |
